HOW TO STYLE MY CURLS!

You can spend hours on the internet searching for answers and tips on what to do and not to do with curls. What products to use and what not to use. My clients are constantly being confused.

I find a lot of my clients with curly hair are very confused with all the information available with the curly girl method. After all, everyone's hair is different and it's a little bit of trail and error until you find what works for you. However, there are some fundamentals that will seriously help you understand more about curls, which may help in choosing a method that suits you.

Keep in mind it is very important what products you use. I like Clever Curl Products because they are specifically designed with the Curly Girl Method in mind. No Nasty Sulphates or Silicons and it leaves the hair feeling soft and Curl-a-licious!

ALL you really need to know:

1. To REDUCE Volume and Lock; add as much hydration as possible. Apply ALL products to very WET hair.

2. For MORE Volume, very gently towel off excess water and apply styling products to very damp hair. This works best for fine hair.

3. Very gently squeeze excess water from hair with a soft towel. NEVER Rub the hair with a towel.

4. You can have your hair dry naturally or use a diffuser with your blow-drier with a low speed and a low to medium heat.

5. Keep it simple! When in doubt - just add more water!
